Matt Dawson, Pineville resident and Natchitoches native, has been a working artist for over 30 years. Dawson is a self taught artist that uses many types of media but mainly concentrates on acrylic, ink, and watercolor. He has won several merit awards in local art shows. Dawson is inspired by pop art and Ash Can art. His work has been featured on Fox News and ABC. He has patrons in every state and in Europe, Japan, and Australia. Dawson likes to paint scenes of isolation mixed with hope. He likes to focus on the every day scenes in life that some times are overlooked. Dawson has been a pharmacist since 2000. His wife and kids have been in Pineville since 2006.
